Twin Oaks, Janelane & Invisible Animals

Twin Oaks

Originally formed as a minimal folk duo based out of Los Angeles, Twin Oak's 2014 debut mini album "The Lion's Den" found praise mostly through UK channels such as Amazing Radio for its sparse and lyrical melancholy conjured by founding members Lauren Brown and Aaron Domingo. Through the course of years of playing live with rotating band members, the band (now joined with drummer Marilyn Beltran and bassist/co-producer Shaun Oppedisano) had expanded into musically layered dream pop, shoegaze, and post-rock driven soundscapes influenced by the likes of Daughter, Sigur Ros, and The XX. The band released their third self-produced and released studio album 'Strangers' in early 2023 along with its companion EP 'Anchors' at the end of the same year, shifting the band's familiar ethereal guitar driven sound into downtempo electronic and trip hop territory. Twin Oaks have previously shared the stage with Mt. Joy, NAVVI, Angelo De Augustine, Emma Ruth Rundle, and The Joy Formidable.

Janelane

Janelane is the musical alias of Los Angeles-born singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist, Sophie Negrini. Negrini’s pop hooks, confessional lyrics, and layers of shimmering guitars are the result of a socially-anxious adolescence spent listening to every 90’s jangle-pop band under the sun. As a teenager, Negrini would constantly write and record demos on a cheap laptop in her bedroom, building a vast catalogue of Soundcloud demos. In 2015, Negrini officially began performing as Janelane, and released her first EP, Peaches and Cream, via Danger Collective Records (Momma, Slow Hollows).

From 2015 to 2018, Negrini toured extensively as the lead guitarist and keyboardist in garage rock band, Peach Kelli Pop, across the US, Europe and Japan, and also contributed performances to the 2018 album, Gentle Leader. In 2022, Negrini toured across the US as the lead guitarist for Lola Collette, in support of Jerry Cantrell’s “Brighten” Tour, and contributed backing vocals on the track, “Nowhere to Run”, for the John Wick 4 Soundtrack.

Negrini released her first 7”, Celebrity Crush, via Kingfisher Bluez in 2021 (Peach Pit, Allison Crutchfield). Janelane’s second EP, Okay with Dancing Alone, was released on Astoria tracks in 2022, and was named Bandcamp’s most popular pop cassette.

Janelane's debut LP, Love Letters, was released on April 12th, 2024, via Kingfisher Bluez.
