After months of anticipation, DC cool girl Sneaks is taking over tonight. Get to know one of our favorite Merge Records artists as she continues to turn the District’s DIY punk scene on its head. She also toured with Spoon earlier this year. Curious yet? We’re hosting 2x the fun tomorrow with Necrot taking over our indoor stage, presented by Born for Burning. We continue to do the most this weekend with a 26th birthday party for Keith Powers on Saturday afternoon and you’re invited! Yes, we do mean the hunky TV star here IRL celebrating his birthday with y’all. This fiesta is free but will fill up quickly, so make sure to RSVP here and cruise by when doors open at 3 for some free surprises. When Keith’s rager ends at 9, the festive vibes will continue at your favorite Indian beats dance party, Non Stop Bhangra! Truly the most lively and upbeat dance floor of any Resident party, you won’t want to miss it. As the sun sets on August — RIP summer 2018 — we’re making sure the month is teaming with shows and parties to ensure we wrap this season up right. We just announced a daytime party by the name of Issa Leo on Sunday 8/26 featuring the best local latin artists around, plus everybody’s favorite Jeff Weiss hip hop production, Don’t Come to LA, on Thursday 8/30. Two wild parties to check off on that August bucket list. Lastly, we added a show with Faye Webster and Christian Lee Hutson on Wednesday 8/29. A year later we remain obsessed with Faye’s song and video for “She Won’t Go Away,” featuring lowriders, hot pink lighting, and a moody snake.
