Hailing from her native Los Angeles, local legend Taleen Kali composes romantic punk songs wrapped in layers of shoegaze, psychedelia, and riot grrrl grunge, creating a cosmic sound that's dreamy and defiant alike. After her first project TÜLIPS went out with a bang in 2016 with their final headline show at The Regent Theater, Taleen went solo, sharing bills with indie luminaries such as Ex Hex, Alice Bag, Seth Bogart, and many more. “Soul Songs” was Taleen's debut EPproduced by Kristin Kontrol (Dum Dum Girls) and mixed by Brad Laner of Medicine. It was recorded at the legendary Sunset Sound Studios in Hollywood and found Taleen’s riot grrrl ethos maturing into a polished punk sound with noise pop, shoegaze, and new wave influences. After the release of "Soul Songs" in 2018, the band followed up with an unplugged version of "Soul Songs" and two covers: “Baby Love” by The Supremes and “#1 Crush” by Garbage. The second EP, a soundbath album called "Songs For Meditation," was released November 5, 2021 on Dum Dum Records.
The Emerald Isle

The Emerald Isle is the new group by Vinyl Williams & his lifetime confidant Craig Murray. Born out of one of the longest lasting underground venues in LA, the two wrote & recorded their debut album at Non Plus Ultra. Williams has his recording studio at NPU, filled with fuzzy mixing boards, italian synths loaned by Klaus Johann Grobe, and some tape echos. Their sound naturally formed as an expression of their two personalities–a jangly pop roller coaster of hyperactive fun times!
Sun Colony

Reverberating through the dormant hills of Topanga Canyon, California the Sun Colony sound ascends into a wash of illuminous noise. Nostalgic dreamscapes melt and create a finely unrefined blend of Los Angeles sparkle and London gloom. Inspired by the shadows of Echo & The Bunnymen, Wire, and Primal Scream, guitars swirl and bend with captive leads and blanketing rhythms. Angular drums pulse beside driving bass, clearing a sonic pathway for the ethereal vocals, grasping clarity within their own beautiful chaos. It is not a welcoming that draws you in -- it is a demanding pull. Recommended for escapists, surrealists, and the sonically possessed.
